What is Boudoir Photography?

Boudoir means a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room.  Boudoir photography is an intimate, personal and fun photo session.  There is nothing else like it, nothing else that conveys this baring of the senses, of individuality, where one can be totally at ease with herself, with each precise moment captured on a photograph.

Who is it for?

It’s for every woman.  Really?  Really!  It is for “you” if you are a mother of two who wants to prove that you’ve still got it, looking for  a unique gift for your other half for a special occasion, celebrating a milestone of your life, or simply just want to do something you have never done before, and honestly, we all deep down want a glamorous portfolio of ourselves.

“I’m fat, wait until I lose  a few pounds”; “I’m flat”; “I have a tummy”; “my arms are too flabby”

However beautiful most of these women really are, we would react this way often enough at the beginning. What can I say, women are afterall perfectionists, especially when it comes to oneself. What many fail to see is how good they really look on camera, when they’re being themselves and natural, rather than a version of what society deems is beautiful. If that was the case, every photograph would just feature centerfold models!

Many women have been pleasantly surprised by how they look on camera, when they really shouldn’t have been in the first place. Boudoir photography seeks especially to bring out that innate beauty that comes with being as natural and comfortable as a woman can be when left to her own devices.
